The Ballantyne Collection is a unique collection of fine and rare old rugs produced in Persia since the middle of the 19 th century. The rugs in the Collection represent the best work available from the major areas of production in Persia during a time which saw a revival of interest in and demand for its rugs and carpets.

The Collection is not just representative of its age but also reflects much of the historical experience that Persia has undergone in the last one hundred and fifty years. Sadly such art form is today very rare as the " new age of mankind " slowly erodes the traditional methods and lifestyles.

The Collection has been professionally catalogued in full colour in a beautifully bound book with each rug set in its historical context.
